About
The main focus of this course is to explore practical ways to enhance student's and teacher's well-being through outdoor learning experiences that engage students in learning practical knowledge and skills that will directly impact their engagement in classroom-based learning.
Get hands-on with these practical experiment ideas and witness their real-life implications by visiting Tapada de Mafra, a UNESCO site and one of the oldest nature reserves in Portugal and the medieval village of Óbidos where history and nature combine in a perfect setting for multidisciplenary learning.
You will also be able to collaborate with others on how to develop ideas for outdoor learning and learning in non-traditional locations as well as how to bring some outdoor principles into your classroom-based lessons with the intent of respecting students' well-being and improve their engagement and interest in learning throughout their lives.
